Starting from January 1st 2011 Tooting Junction Baptist Church will be taking in the Bible in a year Challenge. Spending 15 minutes out of 1440 minutes in a day on the Bible. I believe this is not too much to do in a day. Be part of the challenge and if you are online, if you get this email, there will be a forum where we can discuss what we are reading.

According to CWR To know God well, we must know His Word, yet a recent survey found that 45% of churchgoers have not read the Bible in its entirety. Many start well, but soon give up. But with a clear system to follow and the encouragement of others, the chances of Christians finishing the whole Bible greatly increase.

The Every Day with Jesus Bible will motivate our congregation to read the entire Bible in a year by breaking it up into dated, daily portions - easily read in 15 minutes or less - and accompanied by inspiring devotional writing to help us see its relevance and apply its principles to our own lives.

Each day's reading contains a selection from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs, so there is plenty of variety every day.
